Clean Up is is how you unsync sold out items. That frees up the sync space to use again.
BULK CLEAN UP
Once an item is sold, it remains synced even though it has a quantity of zero. This allows new item sellers who restock more of the identical inventory to add more quantity to the synced SKU.
If you are a used item seller, it’s likely you will sell an item and not use the listing again. In this case, you would “Clean Up” the item’s SKU in KickSync. Thit breaks the synced relationship and archives the SKU. You can still search for it to see it’s transactional history, but you cannot relist it and the sold out item will no longer be monitored by KickSync.
If you did re-list that exact item after it was “Cleaned Up”, it would just appear as a new item in KickSync and needs to be synced again (rather than automatically re-posting to Amazon)
Clean up happens in 2 ways: automatically by your Inventory Plan, or manually whenever you use the bulk Clean Up tool.
Only items that have been shipped and sold out for at least 7 days can be Cleaned Up.
This allows for orders that are canceled and automatically reposted to Amazon or eBay (like unpaid item cases) to always be tracked by KickSync.
Remember: once an item is cleaned up, KickSync will no longer track it.
You can select an inventory plan as a default setting on all your items from your sync settings menu.
You can always select a different inventory plan on an item by item basis, while you are syncing the item.
Stock Once: (Remove when sold out) Is best for used item sellers. This will automatically clean up your items (freeing up their syncs to use again) 30 days after the item sells.
Will Restock: (Keep around when sold out) Best for new items sellers who plan to restock. This will keep the SKU active and tracked even though it is sold out. That way it can be reactivated on both channels by just adding more quantity.
At any time you can Clean Up your sold out items using the bulk Clean Up tool on your dashboard. This will instantly free up those syncs to use again with other items.
On the bulk Clean Up page, you can clean up one item at a time, or select Clean Up All to retire all your sold out items (older than 7 days.)
Again, these products and their history will still be visible in search. You just cannot take actions on them anymore and would have to resync if they were re-posted again.
If you would like to Clean Up just one item you can click it and select Clean Up on an individual basis.
